Amarube iron railroad bridge, 41.5 m high and 309 m long, was in use from 1912 to 2010. The construction work for this bridge and of the Tokan tunnel were the most difficult on the JR (former Japan National Railways) San’in Line. It has now been replaced with a concrete bridge.
