Mt. Oginosen (1809.9 m) is a volcano on the boundary of Tottori and Hyogo prefectures.It is formed of basaltic and andesitic lava that gushed out between 1.18 million and 400,000 years ago.The lava flow has formed flat plateaus such as Kawaidani Highlands (Tottori City – Iwami Town), Ueyama Highlands (Shin’onsen Town) and Hirodomeno (Wakasa Town – Yazu Town in Tottori Prefecture).
